Yes, this is what I do for fun. I light things on fire.

Note that the difference between Pyromaniac and Arsonist is primarily ownership - I only burn stuff I own, therefore I am a Pyro.

This is the original UPN31 television debut of the SacTownPyros, with much credit to Miss Alix, who sadly is now in Santa Cruz and can't come out to play as much.

I did a little fire performance over the 4th for some family friends, and actually managed to 1) get some video of me doing it, and 2) not light myself on fire in the process.

Here's a still from the first performance of the night, using 4" single-wick poi.. the video of my second performance will be posted shortly.

If you're at all interested (weirdo), the instruments from the second show were 4" double-wick poi, with a 4" spacer in between the wicks. Both sets were courtesy http://www.homeofpoi.com/. I endorse their products without reservation - and their customer service is second to none!

I've got personal experience with this vendor (albeit a couple of years ago) that makes me a HUGE proponent.. I ordered a set of 3 1/2" single wick poi from these guys right around xmastime.. and I actually got the package BEFORE the new year.

Unfortunately, HoP had mistakenly sent me a set of 3 1/2" DUAL wick poi.. a nice little upgrade, but I was just getting started at this point, so it was a little intimidating! I sent them an email explaining the situation, and offered to fire the double poi back to them.. they told me to keep the big 'uns, and shipped me the set I order via Overnite. Got 'em three days later - from New Zealand! So, long story short - try them out! The prices are good, the products are great, and the customer service is second to none!

Practice at ~~Curtis Park~~ this weekend? I'm going to head out and practice juggling and poi (time TBA)- I'll be there for about an hour and a half, less if the weather is cruddy. Welcome to the New Secondary Home of the Sac Town Pyros

Due to some unforseen issues with Moderation over at the Tribe.net group, I'm moving the majority of the Sac Town Pyros activity over here to Blogspot, and will be working on restoring the activity over there shortly.

Until then, keep checking here for more information on upcoming events and practices.
